A. Normally it will take less than 24 Hrs to be processed. Overall time including shipping (within the USA) should be around 10-14 business days. In case of a complicated prescription, it can take a little longer. We cannot guarantee specific completion times however we do our best to process and fabricate your eyeglasses as quickly as possible without sacrificing the quality of your prescription.
Q. How much will I have to pay for my cheap eyeglasses?
A. Costs vary, depending on the type of lens and options
that you choose. To keep things simple we charge one price
for any frame. Some of our competitors advertise different
prices for different frames. With them you usually end up
paying more for the better looking and better quality styles.
At AffordableVision.com we have decided not to play that
game. We feel that our cheap eyeglasses will meet most any budget.
As always you get what you pay for.

A. Yes, just choose the "Frames Only" option and you will
just get the frame.
Q. Cylinder, Axis and N.V (Add) were omitted from my prescription.
How should I complete this entry?
A. Not all prescriptions have Cylinder, Axis, and N.V (ADD). This
would mean that you do not have an astigmatism correction
(Cylinder and Axis) and you do not have a reading addition
(N.V or ADD). If your doctor omitted this information, you must enter a 0 (zero) in the corresponding fields on the prescription form.
Q. Can I get my glasses shipped to Post Office boxes?
A. Yes, you can. We use USPS for most of our orders and
will use delivery confirmation.
Q. I made a mistake while filling my order. What should

order form. Still, if a mistake has occurred, immediately

may not be responsible if you enter the wrong prescription

Q. Can I use my contact lens prescription to purchase
A. No, you can't. Your contact lens prescription and eyeglass
prescription are different. Therefore, we suggest that you
get a new eyeglass prescription from your doctor.
Q. I have received my eyeglasses and I think they need
a slight adjustment. What should I do?
A. At AffordableVision.com all eyeglasses are thoroughly
inspected by an experienced lab technician prior to shipping.
Please consider that when you first recieve your eyeglasses
from us they have not been adjusted personally to fit your
face. If you think you need a slight adjustment on your
end most optical stores will do it at no charge.
Q. Will my purchase be reimbursable by my Optical Plan
A. Please check with your carrier to see what their reimbursement
policy is. Please verify this first if you have any questions
as we do not bill insurance companies. Your paid invoice
may be reimbursable. You may be able to submit your receipt

closely at the dimensions of the frame given with each frame
description to be sure whether its size will fit you or

may say otherwise however this is the same quality they
are offering. Our lab has been providing Doctor's across
the nation with their lenses for many years. We feel that
in the years to come many people will see the tremendous
savings that we can offer online by selling cheap
eyeglasses that match others in quality. We keep our overhead expenses
low and pass those savings on to you. We do not have the
high monthly expenses that a "brick and mortar" location

A. Controlled overhead expenses enable us to sell at such
prices. We keep our expenses low and pass the savings on

complete control over all aspects of production. Most of

Q. How do I know what size eyeglass frame I need?
A. Take a look at the earpiece (temple) or eyeglass bridge
of your current eyeglasses. You will see a number imprinted
there such as 47-20-140 etc. This is the size of your eyeglass
frame. It is important to stay within these measurements
for your new style. If you want, you can increase or decrease
it by a millimeter or so. If the number has worn off you
may be able to get it from the location that you purchased
your current glasses at. They sometimes keep this in your
records. It's worth a try. If you would like, you can send
us your current frame size we will be happy to offer a suggestion
on a comparable frame style that we carry. In the example
below 47 is the lens width, 20 is the bridge distance between
the lenses and 140 is the temple length. Most frames do
not usually list the overall frame width or lens height.
It is a good idea to know these on your current frame so
you can get a new frame that is comparable. For your convenience
AffordableVision.com lists all these measurements in our
descriptions. Please keep in mind that these numbers are
in millimeters. Simply use a ruler that has millimeters
listed on it.
Q. What is your refund policy?
I am not happy with the color, size or shape of the frame
AffordableVision.com may not be held responsible if you
have chosen a frame that is not your size and/or a color
and shape that you do not like.
I never received my eyeglasses or they arrived damaged
If the product is lost in transit you may claim an immediate
replacement for the same frame style and color along with
the lenses for that frame. (For your protection we do use
Delivery Confirmation on all orders to verify delivery and
date). Prior to all orders being shipped each pair of eyeglasses
is hand examined by a certified technician with many years
experience and packed in a hard eyeglass case. Proper packaging
is then supplied to further protect your purchase. In this
manner the chances of breakage are very minimal. In the
event that your eyeglasses arrive damaged AffordableVision.com
will replace your same frame style and color and/or lenses.
You will have 14 days from the date of delivery to you to
contact us regarding replacement. We will ask you to send
a digital picture of the damaged merchandise that you received
for our Damage Control records.
The frame broke after a few days
We have been manufacturing our own frames for many years
and will stand behind a replacement for manufacturer's defects
on our frames for a period of 14 days from the date of delivery
to you. If the frame is broken and after examination it
is determined it is not a manufacturer's defect we may not
be held responsible. In such cases you can contact our sales

The Lenses are not as my original prescription
It is very rare that the lenses produced by us are not as
per your prescription but if this is the case the AffordableVision.com
is 100% responsible for reshipment. Should your prescribing
physician discover any variance from the z80 federal recommended
standard we will remake your lenses for your same frame
style at not charge. You will be responsible for obtaining
proof that your prescription is incorrect. In a case where
you have entered the wrong prescription during the ordering
process, AffordableVision.com may not be held responsible.
Please keep in mind that if your prescription has changed
since your last exam you eyes may take some time to adjust
to your new prescription.
I am not happy with the thickness of lenses or lens edges
on my eyeglasses
AffordableVision.com may not
be responsible in this case as the lens thickness also depends
upon the size of the frame.
You must return the product at your own cost on any and
all returns. The package must be postmarked within 14 days
from the date delivered to you.
It is the policy of AffordableVision.com to offer a same
exchange only program in any situation where a frame needs
to be replaced. This means we will exchange the same frame
style, color and size as your purchased frame. In the event
that we made the wrong prescription lenses we will replace
the lenses for your same frame style at no charge. As lenses
are a custom made product we cannot offer any other type
of exchange in other situations.
